La Estancia Edición Exclusiva is the Crown Jewel of Selection Meerapfel; the personal blend collection of the Meerapfel family which is headed by brothers Jeremiah and Joshua.
The family, particularly Jeremiah and Joshua’s grandfather, Heller, have been some of the biggest purchasers of Cuban tobacco, and currently hold tobacco from nearly every decade since the embargo. While initially hoping to resume normal business once embargo is lifted, since that never happened, the tobacco is instead being used to create the La Estancia brand.
The finest aged tobaccos have been used to craft this masterpiece although the exact blend is a closely guarded secret – sources mention a Nicaraguan wrapper and binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan and Cuban filler in about 50:50 ratio. There is no particular age statement attached to these. The cigars are rolled by only the most experienced torcedors & finished with a traditional pigtail cap.
