“All of these Napoleonic Generals wore their sabres into battle, so I believe this an appropriately dynamic name for these warriors we seek to honour. I needed to find generals that had an interesting anecdote about their relationship with tobacco. I am pleased that I eventually managed to find anecdotes honouring the counterparts who fought for France, Prussia, Austria, Russia and Great Britain. Some of them actually dying with tobacco in their hand,” says Jeremy.

The blends are chosen in some way that would characterize the general these were crafted for. Moreover for the two lines released each year one would be for France the other for the coalition. For 2023’s first release the “Brave” line for France’s Michel Ney would be subtle and smooth
whilst the “Forrader” line for Prussia’s Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher has a deceptive strength.
For the 2024 release, the “Epicurist” line honors France’s Antoine Charles Louis de Lasalle, a daring and charismatic cavalry commander, while the “Vater” line pays homage to Austria’s Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz, a brilliant strategist revered by his troops. Though these cigars carry the same base leaves as the 2023 lines, the primings and percentages have been adjusted to suit the distinct vitolas, ensuring that each cigar provides a unique and memorable smoking experience that complements the legacy of these legendary generals.

This mild cigar offers notes of cedar, oak, toast, and hazelnut with an overall rich creaminess for a satisfying smoking indulgence. It smooth Ecuadorian wrapper covers a Dominican binder and filler. The Casdagli Brothers of the Sabre Brave cigar is blended and handmade in the Dominican Republic at the Kelner Boutique Factory. The Brave cigar line is named after Marshal Michel Ney who served under Napoleon. For his valor in battle, Ney was given the moniker of “Le Brave des Braves,” by Napoleon himself.
