Tatuaje Limited Sextooth
Price range: $5.50 through $8.50 — or from Price range: $5.23 through $8.08 / month
The pricey cigar trend shows no signs of slowing down, but Tatuaje brand owner Pete Johnson’s newest creation is a relative bargain. The new Sextooth cigar comes in four sizes, none of them long and none of them priced higher than $8.50. The smallest priced at a mere $5.50. Johnson said the first shipment is coming to Miami this week, with the new cigars going out to retailers the first week of December.
Sextooth is the stage name for musician, poet, actor and producer Andreas Contogouris, who is a longtime friend of Johnson. The vitolas in the line are named (and inspired by) songs from his 2025 EP Smoking Mirror. The Fast and Slow is the smallest and least expensive smoke in the line, 4 1/2 inches long by 40 ring. It has a suggested retail price of $5.50 and comes in boxes of 36. The other three sizes are packed in boxes of 24: Holiday is 4 1/2 by 50 ($7.50); William Blake is 4 1/2 by 60 ($8.25) and Vampire is a plump belicoso measuring 5 by 58 ($8.50).
“The little ones are kickers,” Johnson told Cigar Aficionado. He described the strength of the line as “medium, but with a nice spice.” The long-filler cigars are made from a Nicaragua-heavy blend of tobaccos. The filler and binder leaves are Nicaraguan, and the wrapper is Ecuador Habano. Like all Tatuajes, they are made by My Father Cigars, this particular brand from the Nicaraguan factory.
Tatuaje commented on the low prices. “As the industry has seen many price increases over the last several years, the team at Tatuaje thought it was time for another price-conscious addition to the Tatuaje family.”
